Free trial

3 months free on every plan. No card needed.

Start free and pay nothing for three months. If your first trip hasn't run by then, your free time runs on to the end of the month it does, up to six months in all. We email you a week before it ends. To carry on, you add a card; if you don't, it simply stops. Nothing is ever taken without a card you added yourself.

One complete booking system, three ways to pay. Every feature is on every plan, from day one; the only difference is how often you pay and what that works out at. There is no setup fee, no per-booking fee, and no commission on your jobs. Already have a website? Your trips can show on it too — see an example. Booking emails are unlimited. Marketing emails to your own list are included up to 25,000 a month, however big the list; in a busy month you can top up 25,000 more for £29, on any plan.

By starting a trial or a subscription you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy — including what happens when you leave, which is worth two minutes before you buy.

What happens after you start

Four steps, and you do one of them.

This is the whole of it. Nobody phones you, and there is nothing to install.

1

You start

Your email and your trading name, then Stripe's own secure page with both filled in. No card: that comes later, and only if you carry on.

2

Your site gets built

Your own address, made from your trading name — yourfirm.bookaseat.uk — with its own secure certificate. About a minute.

3

An email arrives

It carries a link that lets you set a password. That link is the way in, so open it on the device you'll actually use.

4

You set it up

Your name, your logo, the inbox replies should come back to, and your own Stripe account for taking passengers' money. Ten minutes.

What the money buys

Everything below, on every plan, from the minute you're in.

Included

  • Your own booking site, at your own web address, branded as you
  • Card payments into your own Stripe account — the money never passes through ours
  • Event trips priced and sold by the seat, automatically, at any hour
  • Private hire enquiries answered in seconds and gathered for you to quote — never auto-priced
  • Confirmations, balance chasing, refunds and the day-before pickup reminder
  • Boarding lists by pickup point, and posters with a QR code for the stop
  • Phone bookings typed in by you in about thirty seconds, so the seat count stays honest
  • Your own mailing list with no limit on its size, and up to 25,000 marketing emails a month to it — new trips, head starts and the thank-you after each trip
  • Every change and fix that comes along, at no extra cost

An honest word

The free trial is three months, not two weeks. A short trial runs out before most operators have sold their first trip, so this one is long enough to put a real trip on sale and watch the seats go, and it runs on if your first trip is later than that. No card goes in at the start, so nothing can be taken by surprise. After the trial there is no contract and no notice period either — email us to cancel and the next payment simply doesn't happen, and everything keeps working to the end of what you've paid for.

It doesn't find you customers. But it will stop you losing them! It makes sure the enquiries you already get are captured, quoted, confirmed and remembered. If your phone never rings, fix the marketing first and come back.

There is about ten minutes of learning — adding a trip, changing a price, closing a coach off. You do that on your phone. No code, ever.

The bookings are yours. The engine is rented. Your customer list, your booking records and your card payments sit in accounts you own and can be exported at any time. What the monthly buys is the automation connecting them. If you leave, you get 30 days after your trial or paid period ends to download all of it, and then your passengers' personal details are deleted — what happens when you leave.

If something breaks, you're emailing the person who built it. That is a small outfit in central Scotland, not a support queue — which cuts both ways, and you should know which one you're buying.

Still weighing it up?

Paste in one of your own trip posts and see it as a booking page in a few seconds. Or watch a booking come in and get paid — one minute 47, no sound needed — or read the questions other operators ask. Anything else, email team@theconductor.uk and you'll hear back from the person who built it.
